RAPID CITY
United Way of the Black Hills, Rapid City was formed in 1944. Today, the Rapid City United Way is comprised of 35 board members representing a variety of businesses and organizations within the Rapid City community. Donations help support 34 provider agencies that are focused on health and human service needs in the Rapid City area.
STURGIS
United Way of the Black Hills, Sturgis was formed in 1998. Today, the Sturgis United Way is compromised of 14 board members representing a variety of businesses and organizations from the Sturgis community. Donations help support 28 provider agencies that are focused on health and human service needs in the Sturgis area.
NORTHERN HILLS
United Way of the Black Hills, Northern Hills area joined the United Way family in 2003. A group of individuals representing a variety of businesses and organizations from Deadwood, Lead, Spearfish, and Belle Fourche make up the 24 member board. Donations help support 28 provider agencies that are focused on health and human service needs in the Northern Hills area.
SOUTHERN HILLS
Southern Hills is truly making the our United Way of Black Hills family complete. The Southern Hills area joined the United Way 2009 and is comprised of 20 board members representing a variety of businesses and organizations from Keystone, Hill City, Custer, Hot Springs, and Edgemont. Donations help support 24 provider agencies that are focused on health and human service needs in the Northern Hills area.

Club for Boys
4th Annual Hooked on Hardwater


60 Boys, 60 Pros, a Lifetime of Memories. Hooked on Hardwater is a chance for 60 Club members to be paired with 60 pro ice fishermen from around the Ice Belt for a morning of ice fishing in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota. A fundraising banquet will be held in the evening to support the Outdoor Program at the Club for Boys. The banquet will include dinner, live and silent auctions, raffle prizes and a Fund-a-Need auction. Spirit of Volunteerism Awards


The Spirit of Volunteerism Awards luncheon is held annually by the Helpline Center to recognize and honor outstanding volunteers in the Black Hills area. The 2017 Spirit of Volunteerism Awards will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, at Ramkota/Minvera's. Awards are given in the following categories - Youth, Group, Adult and Corporate. Sponsors of the 2017 event include Scull Construction, BankWest and Black Hills Energy.
