Volunteer

Volunteers are the backbone of every community. They are on the frontlines, making a difference in those around them every single day.

Month of Caring

Our biggest volunteer event is our Month of Caring every September. We have nearly 1,000 volunteers throughout the Black Hills volunteer by packing meals, painting homes, performing lawn care for the elderly, disabled, and veterans.

If you are interested in volunteering, please visit our Month of Caring page.

Black Hills Reads volunteers

Black Hills Reads is always looking for volunteers for future opportunities. Some volunteer opportunities include: assisting with programs/events at local schools, helping pass out and deliver books and supplies to organizations, Race to Read event, and so much more. Please contact Kayla Klein, Black Hills Reads director at kayla@unitedwayblackhills.org or (605) 343-5872 for more information.
