South Dakota Day of Giving

when: all day | TUESDAY, DEC. 3RD, 2019

What is it?

South Dakota’s Day of Giving is held in conjunction with #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the highly recognized shopping days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, South Dakota’s Day of Giving is a coordinated effort to kick-off and celebrate the giving season.
This year, for our Day of Giving campaign, we are asking for donations to help 50 non-profit organizations in the Black Hills.
We are asking for your help on this day to help us reach our goal of $2.2 million dollars.

How can i get involved?

1. Participate in our #75WaysToLiveUnited social media challenge!

Starting Tuesday, Dec. 3rd, we will be flooding social media with ways to get involved in the community. We have put together a list of 75 different easy ways to spread joy this holiday season. Each random act of kindness is unique, so feel go beyond the list provided. What is the prize? We all win! Each little act of kindness is like a drop, and each drop creates a wave. We want to see the effects of that wave through social media. It can be refreshing to see a newsfeed full of giving and a united community.

Click below to view the social media challenge guide, and be sure to tag your friends in your post to encourage them to join in on the challenge!

While you do that, be sure to direct them to our Facebook fundraiser, where we want to raise $750 in celebration of our 75th anniversary. Whether you are in individual looking to get more involved in your community, or a business looking for some fun workplace activities, you can participate!
