United Way of the Black Hills- Northern Hills joined the United Way family in 2003. A group of individuals representing a variety of businesses/organizations from Deadwood, Lead, Spearfish, and Belle Fourche make up the 24 member board. This year's campaign goal is $190,000 for the 2010-2011 campaign. Donations will help support 22 agencies that make up the Northern Hills branch of the United Way that are focused on health and human service needs.
Steve Willard, Belle Fourche; Dan Leikvold, Lead/Deadwood; Dave Peters, Spearfish; are the superintendents from each area and are serving as 2010-2011 Northern Hills United Way Campaign Co-Chairmen.
